"Gusford is a

and pupils
enjoy their
learning." Ofsted Dec.08
Welcome to Gusford Primary School’s website. This site aims to provide an opportunity for visitors to find out more about our school , find out the latest news and share in some of the excellent work that the children have produced.
Gusford is a large Primary school of approximately 570 pupils. We are situated in the Chantry area of Ipswich, which in the South West of Ipswich. The school, which was opened in 1962, has 21 classrooms, 2 halls, a brand new library and ICT learning centre, a learner swimming pool, and a number of group rooms and resource areas and pleasant grounds.
Learning Platform
Gusford now has a learning platform. This is a web based resource that allows members of the school community to share information and learning resources. Each child will eventually have their own area and teachers can place items of interest and support for their learning. It is a password protected site and we will be working over the next 6 months to train staff, governors and children how to use it. There will be a non password section for parents. This will take a while for everyone to learn but if you would like to visit our portal homepage then please click here to visit it.
Historical Item: Circus was in town
On the 15th September 2008 Circus Ferrel came to Gusford. They ran circus skill workshops in the big top for all the children in the school. Every child then had the chance to perform in a real circus show. This was an experience of a lifetime and even Mr Tapscott got a taste of the action! Our thanks to Mrs Jones for organising this, for the staff and parents for supporting, for the children who took part and all the performers of Circus Ferrel.
Wow what a week it was.
